Farmington, AR — At its May board meeting, Farmington Public Schools officially announced the hiring of Andrea Schwartz as the district’s new Curriculum and Instruction Director. Schwartz brings a strong background in instructional leadership, teacher development, and educational equity.
Most recently serving as the Leading and Learning Director for the Russellville School District, Schwartz has demonstrated a commitment to building systems that support both educators and students. She also brings previous experience as a principal in Fort Smith Public Schools, where she emphasized collaboration, professional growth, and data-driven decision-making to enhance instructional practices.
Throughout her career, Schwartz has focused on creating effective structures for teacher development, strengthening professional learning communities (PLCs), and implementing instructional frameworks aimed at boosting student achievement. She is passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation, where teachers feel empowered and students experience high-quality, equitable educational opportunities.
