Good evening,
We want to inform our community and families there was an incident in which a community member made a threat against students at one of our secondary campuses. We were made aware of the message and reported it to the police, who determined it to be a credible threat.
That person, who was not a student, was immediately arrested by the Farmington Police Department. They remain in police custody. Farmington PD will have additional presence around our campuses tomorrow out of an abundance of caution.
Due to misinformation online, this incident has caused additional rumors that police have investigated and determined not to be substantiated threats. We are grateful for the swift response from the Farmington PD, and safety remains our top priority.
