Seniors Trey Hill and Catherine Warren have both received honors as the school winners of the Heisman High School Scholarship. Trey also received notification that he is the State scholarship recipient as well. Only one male and one female were selected for this honor in the state of Arkansas. State recipients are awarded a $1000 scholarship and are eligible to become National Finalists and National Winners.
The Heisman Scholarship website states, "The Heisman High School Scholarship presented by Acceptance Insurance extends the Heisman prestige to our nation’s most esteemed high school seniors by recognizing and rewarding outstanding scholar-athletes who understand that the most important victories not only happen on the field, but in their schools and communities. These remarkable young leaders set the example and make a game-changing difference every day, paving the way to greatness for everyone around them."
Catherine currently plays tennis and cheers for FHS. She was also recently named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist as well. Trey plays baseball for the Cardinals and plans on soon signing a National Letter of Intent to play at University of Arkansas Little Rock.
