Students in PLTW were challenged to design and build the tallest free standing structure. Before building we discussed some of the tallest towers around the world and the conditions they must withstand. Design constraints were the structure had to stay standing for a minimum of 20 seconds with windy conditions. #Cardstudentsareworthit

Farmington Public Schools will utilize a late start for tomorrow, Thursday, January 17th. All schools will be open and start at 10:00 AM. We are so lucky to live in an area with world class bike trails. We have over 250 miles of mountain biking and paved trails in our area. We want to encourage our students to take advantage of being outdoors, exercising and using our trails now and in the future. FMS students have the opportunity to receive a book brag tag. All they need to do is read a book from the brag tag poster & take a test. Those with 5 or more this semester will get to participate in a pizza party! These were last semester's winners! #Cardstudentsareworthit

Due to the timing of inclement weather, Farmington Public Schools will utilize a 10:00AM late start this morning. Bus pickup times will be delayed two hours from normal. School will dismiss at regular time this afternoon. Please stay tuned- there is a possibility of the use of limited bus routes depending on road conditions.
