Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, a new Arkansas law—The Bell to Bell, No Cell Act—requires schools to strictly limit student use of personal electronic devices during the school day. This applies to cell phones, tablets, laptops, smart watches, and other personal electronic devices. If students bring these items to school, they will be expected to keep them turned off and put away for the entire school day—from the first bell to the last. Over the past year, our junior high and high school campuses have been piloting a phone-free environment during instructional time. This new state law, however, goes further and will require a more comprehensive approach across all grade levels and throughout the full school day. We are updating our district policy to align with this new law and will share full details with families this summer. We encourage parents to begin preparing students now so that this change doesn’t come as a surprise in August. Thank you for partnering with us to support a focused and distraction-free learning environment.

Zane Schmitt has been named the 2025 5A Baseball #ARPBSSports All Star! The @farmcards senior pitcher has earned a fantastic 4.25 GPA and will attend @uarkansas and major in biology to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery. Congratulations, Zane! #CardinalNation

Thank you to Simple Simon's Pizza for hosting a spirit night for Bright Futures Farmington this week! Proceeds raised will directly serve the needs of students in our school district! #ESED

We are thrilled to announce that our FFA chapter has been awarded a $2,500 grant to help purchase a livestock trailer! This incredible support will expand opportunities for our students to participate in more shows, fairs, and hands-on learning experiences with their animals. A huge THANK YOU to MFA Inc. for investing in agricultural education and helping us take our program to the next level! Your generosity directly impacts our students and their future in the ag industry. We also want to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Earnheart for writing and submitting the grant on behalf of our program.
