FHS Assistant Principal Clayton Williams and Counselor Jeni Kirkendall, along with other Farmington teachers and administrators, completed the wellness challenge at THRIVE, drinking over 930 ounces of water and getting 79 hours of sleep over two days between the five of them! Williams kindergarteners had a blast today carving pumpkins with fire! Our budding scientists observed a reaction between calcium carbide and water, which produced flammable acetylene gas. Once the pumpkins were filled, the acetylene gas was sparked creating a small controlled explosion, sending pumpkin pieces flying! #JPWElementary #Cardstudentsareworthit
