Each group chose a goal for their machine, such as cutting a piece of paper, knocking a marker into the trash can, or sending a marble into a pencil pouch or cup. #ESED

What a great start to Washington County Teen Leadership! Farmington students meet monthly with WCTL, and today they observed and took part in the complex process of city planning. Thanks to the guests from NWA Urban Land Institute, students were able to take part in the process by being assigned into random groups and given a specific job that correlates to the actual setting of city planning. They then presented a pitch to real city council members to see how their urban layout would do in the real world. Students were able to communicate with each other and get out of their comfort zones to try something new! #ESED
