Mr. Poindexter’s Anatomy and Physiology classes took a creative, hands-on approach to learning by tracing body outlines and illustrating internal organs. Students combined artistic skills with science to better understand how the human body works.!

Mrs. Earnheart’s AP Psychology classes recently welcomed a special guest and Farmington alum, Madison Navarro, RALAT, from the University of Arkansas Division of Research & Innovation. Madison shared real-world insight into the ethical care of animals in research and how researchers responsibly work with animal subjects.

As part of this unit, students will learn to handle and care for three rats while studying classic psychological research, including Edward Tolman’s experiments with rats and mazes. Students will also design and build their own Tolman-style mazes to test learning theories firsthand.

Thank you to Arvest Bank and their We Love Teachers grant for supporting this meaningful, hands-on learning experience!
