
Sophomore Sydney Scott participated in the 2024 Missouri - Kansas Border Bonanza back in April. This was a Class A Arabian Horse show, and she won multiple Blue Ribbons as well as a Second place, third place, and Reserve Grand Champion. Thirty-three of Ms. Scates's work based learning students earned their National Career Readiness Certification through ACT WorkKeys. The NCRC is an assessment-based credential of widely applicable foundational employability skills. When individual skills are aligned to the skills needed for a job, workers tend to learn job-related tasks more quickly, benefit from on-the-job-training, and obtain new knowledge and skills.
